Matt Cassell is a bottom 5 QB in the NFL, and he looked like a pro bowler in NE. Sanchez has been far from good this year, but the reality is that he's getting blamed for things that are out of his control.
He has been inaccurate more than he should be, but let's just look at last Sunday...
He was 9-22, but there were 3 dropped balls on well thrown short passes in the open field. Right there is the difference between 41% and 55%, and who knows how many yards those passes could have netted, since the receivers had plenty of room in front of them.Then Sparano calls 3 quick swing passes behind the line of scrimmage for Tebow that were easy completions. I haven't seen that quick pass called for Sanchez all year. Those should have been Sanchez's completions in that game. Now he's 15-25. That's a 60% completion rate.
Don't get me wrong here. I'm absolutely not suggesting that Sanchez is blameless, but he's not being put in a position to succeed.
