What have surprised you most about the Knicks so far?

Even though it's still early, what stat(s),instances, player(s) etc.... have surprised you this year? Whether it's been the 6-0 start, JR's stupid 70+ 3pt %,the love or lack of love we are receiving from others, the teams overall defense or offense, etc.......

I still cant get over the fact that we lead the league in fewest turnovers committed per game and it's not even close. The number 2 team averages a healthy 3 more TOs per game. Also because of that we lead the league in assist to trunover ratio . Last year we were 29th and 27th in those two.

P.S....... Another thing that I cant believe is that Melo played all 12 fourth quarter minutes last night and didnt take 1 single shot despite us going down by twelve midway thru and we still won....

JR Smith has surprised me. I knew Kidd would be good, but not this good. He has to regress because right now he's playing 20+ elite minutes off the bench......and we've all seen what both of these guys have done in the clutch.

I love the fact that we've been able to win even without our BEST defender playing. And we're the best team in the league! Thats whats impressive about this run. Another impressive note is that we've been out-rebounded each game, and still manage to win big. But Camby and Stat will help with that.

    A Lot Has Surprised Me

Melo playing defense, Wallace playing his way into the rotation, Kidd quality time and Felton. It will get better when Shumpert comes back it could be scary good.

The ball movement offensively, and this team's trust in each other. This feels like a college team or the Olympic team, and everyone has checked their egos at the door and just looking to make the smart basketball play.

Also Jason Kidd. He said before the season that he's in the best shape he's been in coming into a season since 5 years ago. I called bullsh*t, but he looks like it. This man is defending hard, and gave even Parker some trouble...he's hitting his open shot, but he's also driving for finishes. Did so into traffic against Duncan last night, that was completely OUT of his game the last 2 years or even more. I think people were getting on Prigs for not looking to shoot, but Kidd figured out that its need for him too.

Not surprised about the defense, in fact I think they still have room to improve. And in some ways, must improve. Tyson is making a big less of an impact affecting points in the paint, especially the last 2 games. The rebounding has been suspect as well.

JR SWISH! JKIDD running things and instilling a positive winning attitude. Melo playing both sides of the ball transcending into a superstar status. Felton playing great!! Our defense being number 1 in the league! Our unselfishness on the court. Theres literally nothing bad i can say about this team. Im loving every minute of this!!!

Everything has surprised me quite honestly. I did not see this coming.

How did a team so stupid, filled w so many on the court errors become what we see now? this is an incredible leap from last season. We actually have a team that plays smart, plays right, thank god mike d ball is gone.

I knew Felton would work well with Amare, but seeing what he is doing with EVERYONE is anazing.
JR Smith under controll is what amazes me the most.

Melo playing good solid defense, and the absolute unselfishness of the entire team is surprising.

Our chemistry with so many new players. We look like a team that has been together for years. The ball movement and lack of turnovers is very impressive and surprising.

Comparing Lin to Rubio is like comparing Kate Upton to Rosie O' Donnell. They're both on TV, but that's where the comparison ends.

It's pretty simple to me: The team is 6-0. That's MOST surprising for me.

In their brief tenure together, these guys have shown resiliency in a few games, top notch defense, excellent ball movement and great team unity. Most of these things usually take a while to develop, and it's shocking that this teams chemistry looks so good this early.

    Love these Knicks.

just the overall continuity right off the bat.

That extra time spent together over the summer really paid off
