Not interested in giving up pics, at all.

Grienke and haren are better options. That's our #1 and #2 best option.

trade Capuano for a solid bench player

make Lilly or Harang the long man and release or try and trade the other one

I actually don't think that team would be as good as if we just signed Grienke and Ryu and kept Ethier and Billingsly. So yea it's too much.

People wanting to trade for a long term 3B don't realize that long term Hanley has be out 3B, he is no longer a SS.

Begs the question again, what are our thoughts on extending Hanley? Should wait and see how he does in 2013 before we think about it?

It would be stupid to resign Hanley.

He's going to want a large contract and his production over the last few years has done nothing but gone down.

Hanley's the type of guy where I think you need to start spending wisely. I don't really have a problem with extending as long it's for 3-4 years tops and he plays 3B. He also should make no more than Ethier makes. He would have a better year to be worth that. If he regresses I think they should let him walk.

Haren has pitched over 200 innings in 8 of the last 9 years. Last year he had an injury and still pitched 176 innings. "Haren posted a 3.58 ERA in 13 starts to close out the season after a back injury landed him on the disabled list. It was the first disabled-list trip the 32-year-old Haren had made in his career."

I'll take him. Especially for the price and duration he will get.
