Well let's hope that A) his performance last year wasn't solely a result of taking PEDs or B) he gets better at covering his tracks

    I like it though

There's our new LFer. How interesting. Jays really are opening up the vault, holy ****.

I like this move... if he plays like he did previously to the drug tests it's a steal.... but.... if he sucks - then we basically pissed 8 million a year down the tubes.

At least it's only a 2 year deal - I can certainly live with the salary parameters.

AA probably tossed in a few extra millions to sign him this early. His suspension last season cost him his multi-year contract. Oh well... this is good as it's only a 2yr deal. AA is going all in!!!

I really liked this tweet from Dave Cameron

2/16 for Melky = big win for Toronto.
Damn straight - it's really good value. He might suck something awful, but that's a pretty good gamble IMO. I like, our lineup is soooooooo much better.

even if he reverts back to his previous numbers, hes still very serviceable and not a complete rip off at 8 mil. before his break out season he was probably a 4-5mil player. and again, the term being only 2 years. what type of FA was he? did he play himself into type A last season?
