    I think the bigger concern is really the transportation for the area, not just the jobs/economical boost UC renovations would bring. The area surrounding the UC isn't bad, but no one wants foot traffic akin to Wrigleyville south of Rush Medical or West of Western... The UIC area isn't awful, but it's bus ride away.

    My rule of thumb when I send friends/family to games is that if they cross over railroad tracks to the North or South, they are in trouble.

    Public Transportation would improve after the renovations i'm sure; with an L stop set up around the area hopefully right outside the UC

    That's the word that will prevent things from going forward. If it's changed to "before," plans may accelerate.

    well no need to have it installed before the renovations are complete imo... it's a huge private project that will lead to public projects being done in the city
