Anyone starting to feel like Greinke is going to be a Dodger?
On MLBTR today they posted how the Angels are looking into Kuroda now as an insurance plan "in case" they don't get Greinke. To me it sounds like they don't want to pay him what he wants (can't blame them either 7yr/175mill is ridiculous) but nonetheless is anyone else getting that feeling that we will pull the trigger and sign this guy?
Yes we are making up for all players that didn't sign under mc cheap..grenkie and Hyun jin ryu will be dodgers...and well trade capuano and harang for a solid left bullpen pitcher and solid bench player.
Called this about a week ago when I really analyzed the Free Agent market. He makes the most sense out of the pitchers available. Even though it will take a ton to sign him. I think every top pitcher is going to be vastly overpaid to the point that Grienke will get a contract more in line with whats he's worth. Guys like Sanchez and Loshe and especially Haren could turn out to be total busts and at the contracts they will get are low reward high risk guys. If you pay them $13 mil and they perform you don't get much value. They better preform at that price. Obviously Grienke will get almost twice that but I think he's basically a lock to preform at a high level. I think that is a lot more important than how much money the team spends.
