    Pistons Official Rookies Thread

Since we continue to post updates and threads about news of our rookies, I thought it would be right to include one that has news and updates.

    Kyle Singler

When asked about Singler starting the next game. Frank stiff-armed the inevitable question of whether Singler might remain a starter after Wednesday’s abrupt turnaround, though it won’t vanish before Friday’s home game against Orlando.

"Let’s just take this win for what it is and we’ll figure things out as we move forward," Frank said.

I like this thread. I think Drummond will have a really good 2nd half of the season, Singler will be his steady self all season long. I just hope the way he runs around on the court, he doesn't get injured.

I think so too, it's nice to see our first and second round pick in the top 10 and our other second round pick in the top 25

I would understand Drummond not getting minutes if he had a high foul or turnover rate, but this just doesn't make sense at all.

This one is gonna get stuck. Please keep all discussions about the rookies here. That includes rankings, articles about them, and whatever thoughts you have about them.

Keep the forum for news like injuries, trades, firings, rumors, gamethreads, and possibly game recaps if you so choose to do so.

Loved to see Singler get that first double double last night... not a bad second rounder at all if you ask me.

Singler is awesome we are building up a nice group of young guys now we just need that consistent 20ppg scorer and we can start developing this thing into a solid playoff team and hopefully contender in a few years.

This. I almost want a young back up PG that can run an offense and slide BK7 over to SG for a few minutes.

All I know is something weird is going on when Charlie is playing and scoring in double digits two games in a row lol, but I don't care... whatever it takes to win is fine with me as long as our young guys are getting the minutes they need to develop in the process.

    Me being an optimist

    Drummond is ranked :

#2 in reb/per, (playing 6-11 mins less than the other top 5).
#5 in scoring/per, (less than 20 minutes per game, #17 overall).
#4 in blks/per, (but #2 in blocks per 48 min, has the most blocks among rookies).
#7 in stls/per, (again, #2 in less than 20 min per game).
#16 in mins/per, (given 5-7 more minutes, top 5 overall by the all-star break).

He needs to shoot FT's better, then he might be up to 7.5-8pts per game. He obviously still needs a lot of work, but he is more promising than most people thought.

    ^ I'll add a few stats

#1 in the NBA in offensive rebounding percentage.

#4 in the NBA in total rebounding percentage

#8 in the NBA in block percentage.
