There were 3 people that were considered #1 picks that draft.

LaMarcus Aldridge, Adam Morrison, and Andrea Bargnani.

Tell me where he made the mistake.

He didn't pick Aldridge because he's redundant to Bosh. He didn't pick Morrison because BC wasn't sold on him.


Without hindsight, it was a good pick.

oh true it was a bad number 1 but im just saying there have been far worse #1 picks than andrea. and far worse players missed at #1 than Gay and aldridge

this.. we had bosh.. and morrison is a steaming pile of crap. roy got hurt.. so in all if day with the exceptio of Gay he made a good choice

That's the thing I don't like about BC. He always picks the best that fits the team, but in the long run it became intangible. Aside from that draft class, this yr we could of get drummond but we picked ross.

I'd rather we pick a player with better potential, that way it benefits the team going forward with better trade asset. Its better for a rebuilding team.

fields goes down, that should create more mins for ross yet he hardley gets any and averages like 3ppg in the time he does get and doesnt do much else. . 8th pick over all in a decent draft. pffffttt.

Believe it or not, Bargnani was thought of to probably have the better career over Aldridge ATM. So he picked the BPA from what the majority were saying ATM.

Ross looked good last game, his defense is what has impressed me the most. I think he'll end up being a good pick.

Drummond will be better than Ross. But Ross is probably a solid starter in this league. Dorrell Wright type of player.

hmmm i know they are second round picks... but i hate how so many (not just with toronto) in general just never get the chance to prove they can play... Isaiah washington was the 60th pick and has so far been a solid player. marc gasol was 48th. and there are countless others ... not saying they would be good. but i hate drafting someone and never giving them a chance... i hope Acy at least gets some PT eventually
