Would you re-sign Doc next Winter?

Maybe it's just the lasting euphoria from the trade last night, or the fact that it would be such an amazing story, but would you guys take a stab at Roy Halladay next Winter and bring him "home"?

His 2014 option will be nullified due to his shoulder problems this past year, thus making him a FA; so do you think a 2yr/$22 mil contract would be enough to get it done?

I just think it would be incredible to have the best pitcher this franchise ever had return in his twilight years and hopefully contend for a WS in the city he wanted to win in.

i would absolutely ****ing love to have roy halladay back on this team.

it would be the most incredible story for him to come back to toronto and help lead us to the playoffs and possibly a world series.

if hes healthy im sure AA will call him. If we are a playoff team he would want to come back too.

pipe dream though. cus i think the phils still have an option to pick up the last year even if he doesnt meet the required 415ip n 2012-2013. Not sure if the (415 includes playoffs)

Seems like he's slowly diminishing but for everything he's done and for the true sport he's been I'd gladly take him back and if we make the playoffs with him on the team, I'd let him start the first game which would add more to the storyline and something we can all remember for the rest of our lives.

2011 was one of his best seasons ever, than he had a down year in 2012 which was plagued by some injuries. Doesnt necessarily means hes declining yet. Still think he will compete for a few more cy young awards before its said and done

Prior to last year, he had 6 straight years of finishing top 5 in Cy Young voting. He's also shown he isn't greedy either. Unreasonable long-term contracts don't seem to be on his radar. He signed with Philadelphia for a mere 3 year extension at the peak of his value (the time of the trade). He's 35 years old, but I'd take the gamble on him! If Philadelphia has another awful year, and the Jays are in contention, they may be willing to move him for the right prospect or 2 at the trade deadline.

Hell Yeah! I rotation would be unstoppable even if Doc regresses a bit and if we end up resigning JJ. The pay roll would be way up though, considering how back loaded MB's and Reye's contracts are. It is very likely MB gets flipped this off season with the whole dog issue.
