    Detroit Lions Mount Rushmore

Borrowed this from the wrestling thread.

If Detroit were to create a "Mount Rushmore" type of monument for the Lions which four players would you guys pick??

    my votes:

    1) B. Sanders
    2) D. LeBeau
    3) B.Layne
    4) D."Night Train" Lane

I'd like to squeeze CJ in there but fact is if he retired today he's not going to be considered an impact player. Once he's done with his career i'm sure he'd make it.

    Have at it.

My AAL 2015 ProBowler: DeAndre Levy #54 27 tackles / sacks /1 amazing int

If I could do it for non players.

I would make it a monument to ineptitude with the words NEVER FORGET

Millen, Marriucci, Morningweg, Marineli would be the people I would use

I agree with the names for sure. Now for fun if I only listed players I actually saw play since I became a Lions fan it would be

    1. Barry Sanders (no brainer)
    2. Chris Spielman
    3. Herman Moore
    4. Robert Porcher

I would also be excavating space for a 5th for one CJ hangs them up

He's also been on the squad for 21 years. 17 game winning field goals, and is the franchise leading scorer. 3rd leading scorer all-time in the NFL.

Might be a kicker, but give Old Faithful a little more credit!

found this on leading scorers all time.
    http://espn.go.com/nfl/history/leaders/_/stat/points

    1 Morten Andersen 2,544
    2 Gary Anderson 2,434
    3 JASON HANSON 2,092
    4 John Carney 2,062
    5 Matt Stover 2,004
    6 George Blanda 2,002
    7 Jason Elam 1,983
    8 JOHN KASAY 1,970
    9 ADAM VINATIERI 1,822
    10 Norm Johnson 1,736
    11 Nick Lowery 1,711
    12 Jan Stenerud 1,699
    13 RYAN LONGWELL 1,687
    14 Lou Groza 1,608
    15 Eddie Murray 1,594
    16 Al Del Greco 1,584
    17 DAVID AKERS 1,560
    18 OLINDO MARE 1,530
    19 Steve Christie 1,476
    20 Pat Leahy 1,470

calculating field goals on average and extra points made on average... he looks to get 99.6 points per year on average. So it looks like he's gonna fall just short. Personally i can't see him kicking another 4 or 5 years. But damn still not a bad career!
