What are the Dodgers going to do with the players they have now if they keep signing

Seriously, I think we're going to need a 50 man roster. If the Dodgers sign Ryu, that will be 7 starting pitchers; not to mention guys like Uribe and Gwynn still under contract. What about all the minor league players that are in their mid 20's ready to be given a chance to play, but don't have a shot to make it to the bigs because they have been blocked by the new faces on the team. Guys like Castellanos, Van Slyke, Gordon, and Puig have a big mountain to climb.

There is no such thing as too much pitching. The reports on Billlingsley are positive, but no guarantee he won't need Tommy John surgery. Lilly is coming off surgery and Kershaw's hip was cause for concern. Besides if all are healthy you can always trade pitching to fill other needs.

Gwynn is not on the 40 man roster and the only way Uribe is on the team is if Haiston, Cruz and Mark Ellis are hurt and can't play.

Van Slyke has a roster position screaming for his abilities. We need a righr handed power bat to pinch hit and play 1b and the outfield to platoon with Ethier and Crawford or give Gonzalez a break. Castellanos might get a roster spot if Haiston and Crawford are not ready to start the season as he can play 2b, 3b and the outfield. Puig is not ready yet but when he is he can make Ethier or Crawford expendable. Not sure what the plan is for Gordon as long as Hanley is on the team.

We've just been spoiled that we rely more on our prospects than free agents. I gotta admit, this is one big change of scenery for me.

We can always make room for our prospects by swapping places with Uribe and the sucky Co.
