OK, so I agree that getting Bourn or Pagan leaves us with a week hitting OF, and I know the Marlins probably will hold on to him. But what get's it done so that you can then get Bourn. . for defense. I just don't really want Swisher and want more pop and D.
What about an offer of Gary Brown, Peguero, and a choice of Stratton, Crick or Blackburn for Stanton. Add a couple low level guys thrown in as needed.
Stanton is so worth it. There would still be the $$$ to sign Bourn.
An OF with Stanton in RF, Bourn in CF and Pence in LF!!!!
Let me know your thoughts on what it would take to get him.
