I don't see how Lariano makes sense for the Tigers. They already have several back of the rotation guys.

I have the Dodgers signing Anibal Sanchez to go with Kershaw and Beckett atop the rotation. They will also have RYU next year.

This is how I have their rotation going into the season:
    Kershaw
    Beckett
    Sanchez
    Ryu
    Harang

No need to trade for another pitcher.

One trade I would make is: Ethier & Capuano or Harang for a Starting Catcher. If they trade Ethier, they could go after a Nick Swisher/Cody Ross.

46 million for Dempster is hilarious. Tigers would not be interested I Lariano, and if Sanchez is affordable, they won't be outbid for him, since he cost them their number one prospect Turner.

Liriano is one of those guys that could be a front-line starter on a non-contending team or a back-end starter on a contending team.
He is still very young, so there is so much potential but he has not met expectations. As a Mets fan, I would love for them to take a flyer on him..as a team, they can't get much worse.
