Solid man. I actually remeber seeing him play when the Twins were in town in Cincy and he caught my eye. Are the Twins even willing to deal him?

I have no idea but he's young and cheap and would be exactly what we need.I'm sure we'd have some players Minn would take for him.
I would deff be interested.

So maybe Stubbs and Leake would be a starting point?? I'd do that deal.
I don't know. I think Stubss and Didi would be a better starting point. See the Twins want pitching and the Reds don't have a lot of it. The 6 starters then Redmond then the three in the minors (Stephenson, Cingrani, Corcino). I don't know if I would part with any of them but someone like Kyle Lotzark or Jon Moscot would be ok.
I think he's a better option that Stubbs and Cozart, but he's not an ideal leadoff hitter. don't get me wrong, I believe that OBP is most important, but speed is also nice. and I don't know how well he would adjust to the leadoff role.
I'm started to get very frustrated with Walt. Span was a perfect fit for us, and so was Juan Pierre. no to mention Pierre signed a 1 year, $1.6 million offer and he plays LF. he seriously would have been perfect. and not once did I hear rumors of the Reds pursing him this offseason.
leadoff hitters on the market are getting thinner and thinner and still no progress is being made for the Reds.
nothing will probably happen and then Walt will probably be like "we're pretty comfortable with Stubbs and Phillips batting leadoff again"
Jlohm. I hear ya. I think you really can not move on anything til you get the Ludwick situation figured out. That tells you what kind of an outfielder you are looking for. I still say (unfortunately) that Luddy is more valuable than what we think. We must have a solid player batting behind Votto. If Luddy played a full season in left last year he would have had 40 hr and 110 rbis. Those kind of number are hard to find.. and more importantly he hit .296 with runners in scoring position.

you also have to remember he's getting older.
Your right. Maybe a two year deal tops.
I agree. I would feel more comfortable with a 1 year deal but it doesn't look like he wants that.
He wants a multi year deal and idk if the Reds are willing to do that.
props to Bee for the sig!!
I don't want to give him a multi year deal either
Go after Ben Revere from Minn. and I'd also be interested in Alex Gordon if we could get him also!
I think the Bourne thing is going to work out prefectly. I mean Phillies Giants Rays and Reds all need leadoff CFers. There is Bourne, Vicotorino and Pagan. I think the Reds will be one to get one of the three. The Rays we can surly outbid. This is looking like more and more like a Madson type of deal as last year.
Plus I like the idea of Morse be aquired!
Thatd be solid.
