even if he's not ready...what were they waiting for?
A game too late IMO, but w/e.
So it took him half a season to get ready? Not bad, maybe even a little ahead of schedule for a guy taken after the 3rd round.
You guys who expected instant results from a guy taken late are probably the same folks who miss Hue Jackson.

I want to see him play, now is as good time. he has got to be better than W Smith, right??
we'll see.
I like the move though.

In six game starts W. Smith has allowed four sacks. We should start Bergstrom now. He was the oldest rookie taken in the draft and there is no time to develop him.

The Giants can bring people along, the Ravens can bring people along, the Steelers can bring people along.
when you stink, IMO trail by fire isnt such a bad option.
I dont subscribe to the "building confidence" stuff.
Suck it up Buttercup,This is sports...If you cant handle getting your a33
handed to you maybe you dont belong out there in the first place.
Smith and Barnes cost us games. Who knows how Bergstrom woulda faired.
If he comes in and holds his own I would suspect he woulda learned faster under a more demanding circumstance.
It is in our nature to be adaptable.
That is why I have a short leash for players "figuring things out".
Even if they do..in year four or five....so what.
Let their new team soak up the benefits...I was trying to win today, not 2017.
Ill find someone Believe me.
3rd rd draft choices start in the NFL,on a regular basis. Take a close look at the starting line-ups of other teams. It's not uncommon.
The fact that he didn't clearly beat out W Smith at practice during the previous weeks,is a bit of a concern.
So if he was better than Smith why wasn't he starting in the first place??
Sounds like a band aid for a problem that requires stitches.
Hopefully Bergie does well, if he is better then why did we wait so long or even pick Smith up in the first place?
Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government, owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to dissolve the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day.-Theodore Roosevelt
They use force, to make you do, what the deciders, have decided you must do.

Awesome. If anything, we'll know what we have in Berg now. We'll know whether or not RT is a top priority this offseason.
^ man that would be so freakin awesome to be able to scatch RT of the list.
it was starting to get a little long
dunno fellas ..
If he plays this weekend, its kinda like throwing him into the Lions den.
