Week 11 - Saints at Raiders

I've done the Game threads the last couple of weeks, so I figured I'll keep rolling. Stole this part from the main NFL forum, but I don't have the matchups, etc. for our specific game. If someone PMs it to me, I'll just edit this post to add it.

Well, it was a great weekend last time around with the big win over Dem Dirty Birds, but the time to forget about that has come and its time to look west. This is one we have to have in order to keep this good feeling going. By no means will this be easy (no NFL game is) but it should definitely be a win, especially when you consider the schedule we have coming up and the fact that we can ill afford to lose another game. We can drop one more and still have a good playoff shot, but there's no sense in wasting that loss here. I'm expecting the Raiders to give us a big scare since we're on the road in their turf on the West Coast and they'll be playing for pride after getting completely blown out 55-20 by the Ravens last week, but I think the Saints pull this one out and win a close game by 10 in the 4th quarter.

No kidding. Can't fall prey to their speedy WR corps because Carson Palmer has been putting up serious yardage on people lately. DB's MUST keep the Raiders WR's in front of them

This is definitely a win-ugly game. Palmer will do his part by throwing the ball at Saint defenders a couple of times. They just have to catch it.

Think they'll break the franchise record for points? If they get going the way they did last year, I could see it, but the Raiders aren't exactly last year's Colts. Not that crazy of a prediction, honestly

Not sure but I could see realistically see a two three touchdown victory for the Saints like

at least a 40 burger to no more than 23

but I know if this team is really on the uptick and I think it is a team like the Raiders stands to get beat down baaaaaad by a focused Drew Brees and a confident Defense.

If the Raiders do not bring their A game they will get embarrassed cause we know Drew is a perfectionist he will score every pass if he can.

This Defense is starting to make plays knocking down balls, INTs, big tackles, 3rd down stops, Sacks, one on one coverage stops....I'm so proud :cry:

Hopefully the Saints can put up 40 in the first half, but unless the score is something like 48-63 there's no way the Saints close the game out by blazing on Dennis Allen. #Respect

The first comments were right on about Oakland's offensive vertical game. THAT is who they are right now because their run game is gone. Also, don't sleep on Reece. Oakland's defense hits and they're big and strong up front. They really can play well at times, but lack the consistency and discipline throughout to really piece together a whole game in all phases and too often have to rely on luck to win.

Saints should win if they seriously prepare for this game and don't get out-physicaled (you know what I mean) by Oakland.
