He doesn't play defense well I know. But he def can play better than Boozer.
Seems logical the Bulls wait until Summer 2014 to unload Boozer. His expiring deal makes it easier to trade and if nobody wants him, less money for Jerry to waste on using the Amnesty. Taking on contracts beyond 2014-2015 are going to be difficult for the Bulls because expectations are this is the year they try to make a push to bring Nikola Mirotic over.

A source within an NBA front office told Sheridan Hoops he considers Real Madrid’s Nikola Mirotic to be the best NBA prospect still playing in Europe. I wholeheartedly agree, and that’s why the Bulls would be crazy to part with the Montengrin power forward in a trade for Pau Gasol, or almost anyone else. SheridanHoops

With the Bulls luck he'll end up being a decent role player

Correct. Nick Gibson wrote that who covers International Prospects.

Mirotic could be the 2nd best prospect Gar/Pax has ever drafted and they managed to get him late in the 1st Round in what was called a "Weak Draft" due to the complicated contract he has and requirement that he'd only play for the Lakers or Bulls. Bulls also managed to land Omer Asik and they were dead on with that pick. Mirotic isn't coming over here to play off the bench, the Bulls most likely believe he is there Future Starting Power Forward next to Joakim Noah.

Bulls are arguably a Top 3 Drafting Team in the NBA. The focus should be them acquiring more late 1st Round Picks.

Top 3? James Johnson? Gibson over Blair? Butler over Brooks? Teague over Lamb. Lucked on DRose. Noah vs. Hawes.

You're looking at it all wrong. Just because we didn't pick the best player available doesn't mean they made a bad pick.

One of the few bad picks.

However, he helped us land Nikola Mirotic. Still a bad pick when Jrue, Lawson, and Teague were on the table.

Taj Gibson was a great pick. Lets see if Blair is even in the league much longer.

Common now. Brooks wasn't even on the table. He was drafted #25. Butler was #30. No different than saying Butler over Irving?

Marquis Teague is 19. Can't expect much right now. He is raw. Lamb hasn't proven much either.

They lucked out getting the #1 but with the #1 they made the right pick. Could have easily drafted Beasley.

They didn't luck out here. They simply made the right pick.

Marshon Brooks can't even really crack the rotation over Jerry Stackhouse in NJ

    He's awful

Several guys become trade-eligible Saturday — Kirk Hinrich, Nate Robinson, Vlad Radmanovic, Nazr Mohammed, and Marco Belinelli. Robinson and Hinrich have been borderline essential in Derrick Rose's absence, and Belinelli has shot the lights out of late in Rip Hamilton's starting spot. The Bulls have a $5 million trade exception, but they're more than $3 million over the tax line and will likely work to cut costs.

This article does not specifically mention Love wanting out but it point to increasing odds he will walk in 2015. But who knows what can happen between now and then, especially if we find a way to trade for him:

What can we do to get him before then? And what would happen to Mirotic? Could we switch Mirotic to the 3 position?

People are going to get excited over this Kevin Love story. Nothing is going to change anytime soon. They have Rubio, can make one blockbuster deal, and all of a sudden Minnesota is contending. If they didn't have Rubio, I would be a little worried if I was the Timberwolves.

With all of that said, imagine if Minnesota had made the correct picks over the years. Wes Johnson, Derrick Williams, Jonny Flynn, and the list goes on. So many blown opportunities.

We'd trade Mirotic. He couldn't possibly play the 3.
