This. What a ridiculous finish that would have been eh? It was a long throw but he was wide wide open, Lefty was 20 yards short though.

So it looks like Leftwich might be out now. Amazing if you think about it. Our 1st, 2nd, 4th (Brown) and possibly 5th (Cotchery) string QBs are all injured.

Or if he dove on that low throw from Leftwich

Yes I love giving Wallace a hard time and frankly he's worn out his welcome with me so maybe I'm biased but I don't care

BTW the injuries are ridiculous this year.

    QB - Starter and backup
RB - 4 of our 5 all injured at one point or another
WR - AB and now Cotch seems hurt
    OL - DeCastro and Gilbert
    OLB - Woodley and Harrison
S - Polamalu and Allen gets hurt every game lol

Not to mention Sean Spence, David Johnson (though Will has more than made up for it), we need a new conditioning staff.

And with the low throw to Wallace, we couldn't see the whole thing from the TV but I'm guessing it might have been a timing route, and it's kind of beyond human reaction time to turn around, see the ball is that low and dive.

Antonio Brown had his share of fumbles too, and as I said during the game: Funny how Wallace is still "invisible" and now that Brown is out, Sanders "steps up" for 82 yards with an injured backup quarterback.

We disagree on Wallace and I'm not trying to convince you otherwise, I'll just expand my comments a bit.

Firstly on that play they showed the slow motion replay at it looked to me like he had more than enough time to at least try. Heck he reached down and "almost" made a shoestring catch, it seems like he could have at least dove for it. Not too mention I've heard 2 commentators say the same on highlights.
Also that double tap in the endzone which was just barely out of bounds, is a catch a stud WR has got to make. He had more than enough room and it was a great throw.

When you say "Funny how Wallace is still "invisible" and now that Brown is out, Sanders "steps up" for 82 yards with an injured backup quarterback."
That can be either Wallace is just drawing the coverage to make Sanders open (what I'm guessing you are implying) or it can also mean that Sanders is simply getting open and Wallace is not. I do not have the necessary tools to analyze this (game film) but I lean toward the latter.

My problem with Mike Wallace is the same problem I have with a guy like Dez Bryant. Great talent, but they aren't high IQ players nor play consistently with heart. Mike has made a ton of GREAT plays: the catch vs. GB a couple years back, all the deep bombs, the play vs the Giants two weeks ago. But I feel he also makes a ton of low effort plays. He's spaced out when he gets in the open field (for the most part), I don't trust him to make the hard catch or fight for those extra yards.

When I watch Antonio Brown play, I see some Hines Ward. That tough guy who I WANT getting the ball in crunch time because I just trust him more to make a play. And I loved Mike Wallace. I remember telling my friends after 4 games last year when he was beasting that he's a top WR in the league. But since then that level of play has just disappeared. And yes coverage and play calling plays into it, but at some point he has to take some of the blame as well.

I'll leave it at that for now because this is very lengthy lol. It's just my opinion on him. Flashes of brilliance but too inconsistent and I'd take the consistency over him, and frankly a 2nd rounder for him as well to draft another WR.

I hope we go Garrard or McNabb. Probably more so McNabb. Then start Batch, put Lefty on the IR. Then identify the backup crisis next year.

Probably bring someone in as the 2, and then make Jerrod Johnson the 3.

also would rather have TO then Burress but thats whatever. Burress is on his way to Pittsburgh right now expected to sign

Free-agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress traveled to Pittsburgh on Monday to meet with the Steelers and take a physical for his former team, a league source told ESPN.

Burress played last season with the New York Jets after spending nearly two years in prison for illegal possession of a firearm.

Despite missing the 2009 and 2010 seasons, Burress was productive with the Jets, hauling in 45 receptions and eight touchdowns. But the 35-year-old has remained unsigned throughout this season despite reportedly drawing interest from multiple teams.

The 6-foot-5 Burress would significantly bolster an injury-plagued receiving corps in Pittsburgh. Starting wideout Antonio Brown has missed the last two games due to a sprained ankle, and Jerricho Cotchery also was injured late in Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

The eighth overall selection in the 2000 NFL draft, Burress spent his first five seasons with the Steelers before signing as a free agent with the New York Giants in 2005.

Well Steelers are speaking with plexico...lol. Yes, in Batch we trust. Anywhoo, HOW THE FREAK DOES FLACCO NEVER GET INJURED?! Why is it Ben is constantly hurt? Do we need to look for another QB for the future?
