No need to apologize for supporting a player. You're free to make that choice and frankly, around here it's admirable that you try to find positives. Nothing wrong with balance in a forum.

Long time lurker first time poster, from Toronto (malvern) currently living in California. I get to take in a ton of Lakers games, warriors, kings etc...plus i have league pass so i can watch our beleaguered raps.

Gasol although a very good player isn't a viable solution to the problem. Come down to L.A,they hate him as much as some people here hate bargs. He's way too soft, has too many defensive lapses, and is prone to terrible games as well.

Bargs is coming off a horrendous game but what player in the nba doesn't have those? name one! he did after all have 3 good games previously. People need to stop the blame game, it takes a team to win or lose not just one player.

No need to. Bargnani is a good player. Problem is that the team desperately needs more out of SOMEONE on the roster. Bargnani has been dubbed one of the go-to guys and he falls short, so he attracts a lot of criticism. He is also a bit unorthodox and very frustrating. But that doesn't mean he sucks. So, I don't see what's wrong with pointing out some positives in a player that DOES have positives. But even as a good player, he wouldn't be a lead scorer on a better team. He needs to find MUCH more consistency and focus himself or he will start bouncing around teams pretty soon.

Welcome to the forum. Good first post. Definitely agree that the blame game could cool down in here. I guess bad news is always more interesting to talk about ...

Yeah but even chronic presentation of tendinitis isn't that serious. It's just a fancy term for tendon inflammation.

Tendinosis is much more alarming because of its degenerative nature which would require conservative PT.

The two terms are used interchangeably among laymen, so who knows what his actual problem is.

So if it's inflamed now, how will he be by the end of the season? I mean a player playing 80+ games on two bad knees is not going to IMPROVE the tendinitis by playing on them. Is that the player we want to trade Bargnani for? And that doesn't even address the issue that we don't need a 4 as desperately as we need a 3.

Yeah but Gasol has lead a relatively healthy career. Knee microtrauma would be unlikely so there's really no worry for it to be anything but inflammation. Players like Andre Iguodala have been playing with tendinitis throughout their career.

    yup Mother Teresa baby!!!

to answer your question, many people like bargs, listening to the game on sunday the spurs commentators were in love with him, his skill set is a rarity that many teams covet. you just don't find big men that can do what he can do.

Just having him on the floor creates so much space, you have to respect his shot even on an off night. He played great D on Duncan down the stretch, which is why casey went with him.

Davis had a great game,he had a significant advantage over diaw who cant match his athleticism. Pop went with Duncan at Pf a threw in Tiago at C and negated the advantage davis had.

That's the difference though, Gasol's knees have had more wear and tear than someone like Iggy. Plus Gasol's into his 30's now and knee problems at that age is never a good thing, but I rather have Gasol for 2 years than Bargs for 3 or whatever it is.

It's worrisome but still worth the risk over having someone like Barfs.

Yeah but this is an acute presentation whereas for Iggy,it's a chronic presentation. Iggy's game is also heavily reliant on his athleticism unlike Pau.
