Because even when Gibby and Pettis play they suck and have little upside.

I think we've made some beast strides this season..
We're no longer hanging at the bottom of the crop, we have finally emerged as a team for each opponent to take more seriously and things should only get better from here.

Our defense is the best it's been in years and our coaching staff is very steady and has helped us perform consistently just about every week this season. Nothing like what we've seen since the "greatest show on turf" days.

Obviously there is still a lot of work to be done and realistically we're just not there yet.
We still need a big play wide receiver, more stability from our offensive line.. and more patches on the defensive end.

I think in this upcoming draft we'll have the opportunity to add some key rookie players and possibly a few trades/FA signings and next year COULD be the year we finally make it back to the playoffs.

Therefore, I am very much so encouraged by our overall progress.

Next year this team should DEFINITELY make the playoffs, just gotta improve the safety play and offensive line, and hopefully add a #1 receiver.

move on to what? Gibson sucks.. is Steve Smith even alive? Pettis shouldn't have a spot on the team. I'd have rather carried DX on the roster for a while or put him on that 6 week IR thing however that works

Steve Smith is so terrible I forgot he even existed. And yet, look at DX in San Diego...Even if he only plays 8 games, that is a much larger contribution than Smith playing 16.

He has to learn the system BDA.. he just got picked up dude

I agree with Jence.. Better Danario for half a season than Smith a whole season of nothing.. It's not like he's done anything

Oh, I just had no idea. But still. 3 games is hardly a large enough same size to say he's looking pretty healthy.

In DX's case, you're probably right. Might be the first 3 consecutive game span of his career!

FTR though, I would have much preferred DX (hell, or even Avery) over Gibson or Smith.
