Cubs sign Brandon McCarthy-lite in Scott Feldman rather than overpay for the super popular/Hansel walking injury that is Brandon McCarthy.

A couple of pieces on Feldman:

Angels signed RHP Ryan Madson to a one-year, $3.5 million contract.

Madson could earn an additional $2.5 million in roster bonuses and another $1 million based on games finished. Per Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register, the roster bonuses are based on number of days on the active roster. If all goes well, he could max out at $7 million. Madson had his Tommy John surgery in the early part of April, so he could be ready to start the season as the Angels' closer if he can avoid setbacks. Ernesto Frieri will likely head back to a set-up role.

So the Royals are 'calling everyone to trade Hochevar and Chen'

    My question.

How much worse are they than Santana and Guthrie?

DM, you make so little sense.

Damn, that's a lot. Why did he even retire in the first place?

Feldman is a Bay Area local who pitched for Burlingame high, he was one of my cousin's teamate back then who also was on the starting rotation. I saw him pitch back then. With that being said, I'm happy to see him get signed.
