The way I see it, if you take Aldon Smith out of the 49ers D, they'd still be a top D. If you took Von out of our D, we'd struggle majorly. As for Watt, I haven't watched many Texans games. Only the one against us. And I'm unsure about his impact on their D as a whole.

I like how the top 3 defensive players are all 2nd year players.

An arguement being made for a statistical record because of the better D is pointless. Why even argue over it? No one cares about how good your D is they just see 23 sacks, period.

Thats kinda what im feeling... miller is a much better all around player, but smith is lucky. He got to play the worst oline in chicago, and yesterday he went up against a back up lt. No matter what it should go to miller, but i dont know what the voters will do so im not gonna say its going to miller hands down.

Hopefully he gets a ton next week, actually.
You're talking to me all wrong... It's the wrong tone. You do it again and I'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron. Hey, tell me, does your mother sew? BOOM. Get her to sew that!

How pissed would Aldon be if he ended the season with more sacks than Von but lost out to him on DPOY like he did last year with the ROTY? Proof alone that voters dont just look at sack numbers when it comes to these types of players.

Yeah the voters clearly recognized vonas the total package and not just a one trick pny. Von has 4 pass rushing moves, hes a beast vs the run, has 6 forced fumbles, a int for td, hella tackles for loss.

I dont think smith ia half the player von is, reward or not. Smiths a great pass risher, vons a great passs risher PLUS

I wonder what numbers Von would put up on that 9ers D?

With Aldon Smith paired with him? If so then the numbers would go insane.

If he didn't have Aldon Smith, then he would have the record by now. Remember, Von is a 3-4 OLB..he would be standing the majority of the time not having to worry about coverage as much.
