The front office, Boozer WILL BE GONE as soon as they can get rid of him. But there is no sense in *****ing about him every game. Strange how we had a few people wanting him back in during the 4th

Nate sees that he is sitting in the 4th and if he has a problem with it, his defense will be exceptional in the next game, Noah has sat in the 4th before and came back the next game better than ever.

This was a great game imo
As much as I like your post, agree with the reason Boozer is sitting and most of your other points, Boozer only gets amnestied if there is a genuine opportunity to improve the team with the cap space he opens up. The team cannot afford to cut Boozer and just leave that hole in the lineup because he represents more offensive production at the 4 spot than the rest of the team combined, unless the team goes small all the time or Taj wins the most improved player award.

Even adding multiple players with the cap space liberated by amnestying Boozer would only a stop-gap for what his contract represents - the coveted complimentary star to augment Rose's game.

Adding to that, those players, after all their adjusting and learning to play together, get thrown into the blender once again when Rose returns - all while Derrick adjusts to the game again.

Yes. It's going to be a turbulent season. The sooner people can accept that, the sooner we can take the games for what they are right now. We'll be competitive but sometimes when you have a solid team with a solid coach, you will get beaten.

It would have been nice to have either the OKC or BOS game (and I think perhaps we would have gotten one of those with last year's version of the team minus Rose), but for what it's worth, with the bench in flux and missing one an MVP just two years removed, we're doing pretty well for ourselves.

If you want to get angry and pissy at that, go right ahead, but it's not going to change anything. The fanbase as a whole will be better off when people can check their expectations a bit and start objectively taking some positives away from the games that we play, regardless of whether it's win or lose.

I agree with both of you.

I guess I shouldn't have said the Bulls will get rid of Boozer as soon as they can because I forgot about that amnesty crap. I am completely against using that for Boozer - I hate wasting money as much as anyone! I guess I should have said that Boozer WILL NOT BE RESIGNED TO SAVE HIS LIFE!

Change the thread's title name to ..Deng and Noah need some help'. I'm not only talking about tonight's game. There are some guys that help, but the rest have done nothing at all. Deng and Noah are the only two players that have been consistent. The bench needs to step it up, they only shot 28%(4-15) compared to Boston's bench 52%(11-21). Just like us, they have new guys on that roster as well. So, we can't say they have more team chemistry than us. Our current bench hasn't shown that they are better than the Bench mob so far( most ppl thought they were better even before they played a game together, including me).

If Boozer keeps playing like he's been playing, the bulls should try to trade him at the trade deadline. Someone like the Raptors or the Bobcats might take him, if not, just find any team that will take on his contract. His Defense against OKC was terrible. He disappears against good/elite teams, ever since we signed him. He just preys on the weak teams. When will he start to put up consistent numbers? We're all still waiting.

Most should say this is simply a team that doesn't have it's star player - I disagree in a way, this is simply a team that doesn't have it's starting point guard (not Kirk but Rose). The Celtics are a traditional playing team in that the point guard controls the floor, the Bulls are a traditional playing team in that OUR point guard controls the floor. Thibs has done a terrific job with our team since Rose went down missing all those games last year, our whole offense has changed in the quickest timetable because it had to. Y'all would have to re watch a game from 2010\2011 with Rose to see just how much we had to change. Thibs kept our guys on track and we never skipped a beat last year, the transition was as smooth as one could dream for. His real issue will be adjusting Rose to this new offense when he comes back which would be beneficially to everyone including Rose!

Tonight, Nate did an excellent job letting the team play and not holding the ball nor chucking the ball, he played traditionally which is abnormal for his game. He is making sacrifices for this team and doing a good job imo! His defense was terrible tonight which is why Teague closed the game out, as I said, maybe Thibs sees Teague as a better defender, maybe he is, maybe Nate was just too short to guard Rondo effectively. Maybe Nate didn't respect Rondo's jump shot enough as many tend not to do. But Thibs goes with defense at the end of games against good teams.

Why does Boozer sit out at the end of games? Because his defense is crap

Defense is the simplest aspect of basketball, it all comes down to focus and effort (and patience imo)

If Boozer doesn't want to sit out at end of games, then he would play solid defense the whole game, but he doesn't because he doesn't care, so Thibs doesn't care and guess who sees this? I'm probably over exaggerating a bit about all this but if you don't know by now, defense is Thib's Law - get with it

Remember that exciting run we had in the 4th? Guess where all the momentum was building... The defensive end

Teague will be the back up point guard we are missing once his confidence rises for the NBA level - hopefully he will get some good playing time when we go against his brother this year, that may break the ice for him

Taj was very unlike himself tonight, he usually gets caught up in the emotion and momentum swings and his play excels just like Noah, it did not tonight though. He was not focused at all

This was a great game imo

Not saying that our squad is a bunch of turds, but simply put, we are a lot worse off without Rose. Not to mention, we have a bunch of new faces, along with the possibility that this bench simply is not as good or cohesive with the rest of the time as the Bench Mob. It's still early, but too many people are dismissing it as absurd.

Thibs can only work with what he has and it's times like these and the Thunder game where a Derrick Rose could have definitely put you over the top.

Even though we got hit with the loss, I was happy to see Deng really step up along with Noah. A great positive out of this was that Teague got some meaningful minutes tonight. We've seen very brief flashes of what he can do, but hey, at this juncture of the season, best to try to figure out what sticks and what doesn't. The great coaches do it, and those that don't can get left in the dust.

Simply put, I think Thibs will be playing with constant jigsaw puzzle with this lineup for a while to see what works best and when. It will help if people like Bellinelli and Teague step up a bit more, but until then, we'll have to get used to exactly what this is: life without Derrick Rose.

OKC and Boston are two contending teams that have their big time players all healthy.

Joe Johnson had a huge contract, but was productive. I don't know if anyone will take Boozer's contract, especially if we could amnesty him in the off season.
