it was some bull **** reason. He was on the ground and had his legs wrapped up but Newton got hit up high by someone else so they gave him the penalty and the fine.

    Pretty weak *** fine, NFL.

So that bears the question...why not let Doom just rush from off the RT?? That way we just get the most productivity from him while Von is so good he can still spank LT's. That's just my opinion though..
i said something like this on the von thread. put ayers at right end (his natural position) where he was killing it the other day and put doom at left end. and put von all over as a joker

^ I agree with you guys. Do this and move Wolfe inside and it seems we would have an even scarier pass rush.

im actually with u on the depth on the dline. I think its key to winning in the nfl but we got a lot of depth needs on this team still so i dont know if we can use 4 picks on the dline. def could use another dt and de in their though. we also really really need another running back, but good god this upcoming draft class for running backs is really disappointing

I think we canafford too use 4, I mean we still got 3 left to find a rb, a guy likes james from miami could be had in round 3-4. Good power run with solid speed and cutting ability.

but we also need oline depth, could use another wide receiver to groom (high potential guy that can be ready in a few years would be nice). middle linebacker

im hoping we can draft a de and a dt and bring in a dt with low risk high reward such as glenn dorsey. a guy who will be looking for a short deal to produce and make big bucks later

a guy i wouldnt mind us taking a flyer on in the draft is the running back randel out of osu. he has been playing great in a pass happy system and one of the best backs ive seen in blitz pick up. seems like a great fit for our offense. hes pry a 2nd to 3rd round pick. (although weak draft class for rb, might be reached by a team desperate for running back)

I know it will never happen (because he is probably a top 10, maybe top 5, pick) but I would go gaga if we could somehow draft Star Lotulelei from my alma mater Utah. He is an absolute beast of a DT.
