Lol, damn is bad when you pick up a guy the Astros let go. I guess that makes up for Martinez.
Does anyone know where I could find the original thread when we signed Dickey to a minor league deal?
I really want to read through it.
It took a bit of looking to find but here ya go

Its worth noting FOC's first post to that thread as follows:
"The problem is not only are they stocking their major league team with with crap but they're also filling out their minor leagues with players with no upside.
What is the point?"
But that was before he found religion.
The thread only goes downhill from there with high-minded commentary focusing on R.A.'s last name. Real intellectual crew we have here.

Guilty as charged. It's also worth noting I wrote that before I saw him pitch. I changed my tune, or found religion, as you put it, after the televised Buffalo one-hitter in which retired 27 in a row after giving up a leadoff single. I also liked what I saw after he made his Mets debut.
That's when I opened up the church and, among much derision, told anyone who would listen that RA was the real deal. It took probably until the end of that season for people to agree.
"Ain't got the call no more. Got a lot of sinful idears – but they seem kinda sensible...."
I know. I just couldn't resist.
BTW Marlins signed Pierre, so there goes an option for the Mets.
1.6 Million too...
That would have been in the Met's price range this offseason lol.
I know he is only effective against RHP but the Mets could have used him to leadoff with a .351 OBP and 37 steals.
I know he will be 36 in August of next year but i think the Mets should have considered him if that was his asking price.
Do not worry The Divine Trinity is here.
