Its obviously bad that the concussion kept him out, but its good that both he and Cutler were seemingly not suffering too many side effects and just couldn't get cleared by a neurologist.

The one side effect from this is the Bears might have been planning mainly for Smith while the 49ers probably focused on Campbell.

Of course, I expect Lovie to have the team ready for either one, but it makes you wonder if Lovie waiting till Friday to announce may have helped us a bit.
