I posted this in the main forum thread... Trying to sound more optimistic than I actually am, but this is close enough to how I feel:
Nothing changes for the Sixers. We keep plugging along until he comes back. I'm glad they're committed to keeping him out until he is absolutely 100% healthy with no question about it.
Is this a bit of a bummer? Yes, of course. It'd be awesome to see Bynum out there sooner. I'm dying to see him play! It's just good to have some clarity on the situation with some real target dates now, rather then the FO keeping it a secret the whole time.
Agree
Guys, c'mon. Don't buy the bone bruise nonsense. I'm sure it can take a large man time to heal from a bone bruise. But this "bone bruise" has probably been around for years....and is probably the longest lasting bone bruise in the history of humanity. He has a chronic condition of some sort with his knees. He is not an 82 game/season player. At best, we should hope he can give 65 games per year and at least have another 3-4 years of excellent play.
In Barkley3406's defense, Bynum's defense can appear to be a bit on the lazy side of things....so was Brand before he realized he was no longer an elite player and needed to find another way to contribute. Calling him Bybum this soon is a bit 700 level though. I am not the biggest Bynum fan in the world, either. I haven't written him off though. It was a calculated gamble trading for him. I wouldn't have moved Iggy for him, but I might have been wrong.

Today's news would put him in the 35-40 games-played category. He ain't playin' 65.
And we'll know if it's 'excellent' when it occurs.
As long as he plays in the playoffs, im good with 30-50gamea a year

Its not like he was a springy blake griffin type athlete when he came into the league
This is like when my job would mess up on my check. I'd be mad I don't have it at first. Then when I get it I'm doubly happy because normally by the time most of it would be gone.
I don't think we should pay him the max or give him 5years. Maybe a nice sign n trade piece.
For now the team can just hope on jrues back. We making playoffs regardless.
Pay attention. You might learn something.
I agree, i think were a playoff team with or without bynum
He woulda been ****ed in Washington...
Update: Turns out he was ****ed in Kansas City too
