Falcons WLB Sean Weatherspoon (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Weatherspoon sat out the Falcons' last two games, but has reportedly made progress and begun running. "He moved around. We’ll ramp that up (Thursday) and see how he feels in the morning. Then, we’ll determine what his workload will be for (Thursday)," said coach Mike Smith. Akeem Dent has recorded 16 total tackles (10 solo) in Weatherspoon's place as an every-down 'backer in the Falcons' nickel packages.Julio Jones (ankle) was held out of Wednesday's practice.
"We wanted to keep Julio off his feet," Falcons coach Mike Smith said. "Julio will be evaluated tomorrow and we will determine how much work he’ll do." It's not a major concern since Jones played through the ailment in Sunday's loss to the Saints. For now, there's no reason to believe he won't be ready for Sunday's tilt with the Cardinals.Michael Turner was limited in Wednesday's practice.
It's Turner's first appearance on the injury report this season, but he wasn't known to be hurt in Sunday's loss. His status will be worth double-checking on Thursday, but he should be fine for Week 11. At least physically, that is. Owners should expect another dismal day production-wise.rotoworldTony Gonzalez was limited in Wednesday's practice with a shoulder injury.
It's not a concern for Gonzalez's Week 11 status, even though he's missed remarkably little practice time this season. Coming off an 11/122/2 Week 10, he's locked in as a TE1 against the Cardinals.
Probably not the biggest news as we love to hold out players for rest.. But it's a lot of big names so I figured it'd be relevant to track Jones and Spoon at least.
