The Saints are still a decent team, we just dug too big of a hole at the beginning, we just played 3 division leaders in 3 games straight, not many teams would have won a game there. We are now at a point where we have two divisional games and a game at Dallas. While we don't have anything to play for as far as playoffs, I'm sure everyone on the team outside a handful of guys knows they could be looking for a new team next year. I'm sure Payton will be looking at these last couple games to see who decides to pack it in and coast into the offseason.

    2012 Stats
    63 Tackles, 3 INTs, 18 PDs, 1 Sack, 1 FF, 1 TD

Absolutely. We need Payton to re-sign, because you can be sure he's taking names this year. He hates quitters.

Is it even a guarantee Payton returns?

    No, it's not.

If Payton doesn't come back, I think Loomis needs to look into breaking the team up. They could lose a lot of guys on defense and drop some WRs and shed some of the bigger salaries.

Pull a Raiders move and go addition through subtraction? This is a huge hypothetical, but if **** were to pan out in such a manner, I wouldn't be opposed to this.

Yea I'd be down to see a lot of new WHO DATs on the field. We've had this core group for a while and its been great for the most part but Im cool with starting over with some young guns.

Im going to say something here thats gonna shock some of you. Not saying we can't overcome it but it wont be our preferred way forward thats for sure.

Theres not a FA Head Coach available thats better than Sean Payton. Not too mention if he leaves maybe Brees declines as well.

IF Coach Payton rolls out on us IFFF he does my first replacement choices are

Andy Reid (I just know he gets fired lol he may not)
    Josh McDaniels
    Kyle Shanahan

Also, if Payton bails, then a Brees replacement needs to be found quickly. No point in giving so much to a guy at the end of his career with a team that likely won't compete for 2-3 years.

Shanahan would be my top choice out of this group. Not a huge fan of Reid or McDaniels. Don't love any of these guys though. What about Chip Kelly?

    And the Spread Offense

Brees arm would probably fall off but 4 - 5 WR sets would be fun to watch.

But yea I agree Payton obviously is the number 1 choice.

However, I'd interview Kelly is it were me to see where his thoughts are on running the ball and our current WR core.

obviously he would have to change his scheme, but to me he seems like one of those rare football geniuses. Belichick even consulted him about how to speed up the new england offense

As far as the out of town score board goes, I just hope Atl is one and done in the playoffs.
