I agree, but I'd still like to have Wright
Report makes no sense.
Why would they state in public that they were going to begin working on a deal for Wright immediately after the season ended if they know they can't do it?

Cuban for Mets owner in '15
Now lets trade Wright and Dickey, then spend money in '15/'16.

Mark Cuban being the owner would be the greatest thing ever. And by ever, I mean EVER.
Sadly, I don't see it happening.

One issue with something he said though:
Michael Salfino @MichaelSalfino
And Mets lack of cash, I'm told, is the reason they deferred Bay. More than a baseball decision, they just pass that along to next owner.
Um, then wouldn't paying Wright huge money when he's not worth it anymore (at ages 36-38) be passed along to next owner as well?

If they were so broke they could have declined the options on both Dickey and Wright.
The situation isn't that dire.

Go out on your front lawn, take a dump and see how long your neighbors will talk about that little slice of life. That's what Mike D did to this franchise./QUOTE]
