I would like to trade down on draft Louis Nix. Pick up a couple of 2nd round picks, and hopefully use one of those picks on Anthony Barr, if available.

I just hope we don't pass on a watt miller smith type player to get solid starters

Probably right. The 6'7" beast with only 3 years of football life is climbing up the charts. Sky is the limit for that kid. Could you imagine Houston & Ansah's motors on the same team ?

McClain, Palmer, ..... I thought the worst Hue move was letting Stevie Brown go and keeping Mitchell. That one kills the other two questionable moves.

to continue a earlier thought, Having to make tough drafting choices, Ive left a huge hole at Mike which Drafting a shayne skov in the fourth doesnt neccessarily fill.
He is a coverage and pass rushing specialist rather then a true run stuffer.

So Ive identified Urlacher as who Id go after.
Now a lot of people have offered ..too old, bad knees, lost a step, too expensive.

well, if you dont have a REAL option at Mike, why would you give a "young guy" a shot to constantly get blown up and let go at the end of the year if you could bring in a true talent even for a year or two?

You could offer him a two year 9 million dollar deal, with 1 ,million in a signing bonus and the first year being the vet min, with 2.5 of the rest of the contract guarenteed.

let burris and Skov develop with a safety net of a 8 time probowl runstopper and coverage HOF type taking significant playing time for one, at the most two years.

If he gets hurt your out 4 million, not much, and you cut him before 2014.
he had 70 tackles before getting dinged up that would have put him close to 100 for the year.
I dont see why renting a guy for a year or two when you havent been able to properly address the spot through the draft is such a bad idea.
To me,letting Jerome Boyd on the field when the playoffs are on the line, when there were plenty of other options seem like a much more foolish path to walk.

getting a pass rushing DE in the first,(trade down)
Picking up Barr in the second
fauria and Honey badger in the third
and Kyle long somewhere lower whould be a huge haul of players with a 4th, 6th and 7th still left to play with.
Youve got four maybe 5 first year starters right there.

We need to get Anthony Barr so bad. He is eveyrthing we need. Non stop motor, rushes the QB extremely well and creates turnovers.

I dont think we will be getting a team to jump up in the draft to get Barkley and hand us multiple picks. But I could see Bears coming up for TEO!!! Raiders have to trade down at least once. Also have to find our von miller for DA's defense!!!!!! free agency use for the oline!! we can not afford to miss on this position anymore. Lets get proven players on oline and use the draft to build a young and hungry D
always wanted to be a procrastinator but never got around to it!

Tom Cable, according to multiple reports, lobbied so hard for Brown / Moore it's not even funny.

(Sterling Moore, just so we're clear.)

It's almost comical that Cable could see the talent in those two, while Al could not. It's just another sad commentary on the final years of Al's career.

Those two at DT, and perhaps two 'real' DE's who can generate natural pressure out of a 4-3 defense?

    Yeah... that might work, lol.

I'm sorry I don't want anymore potential upside players in the first round....give me a dominant college player who has the tools to dominate the nfl game...not a dontarie poe type player

I wonder how far Marcus Lattimore will fall in the draft. If he's still there in Round 4 or 5 do we draft him, let him sit, recover, rehab for a year? Or we shouldn't deal with a player with that kind of knee injury?
