    Really?
I normally would agree with you. I love more draft picks. I think that can be done with trading folks like Kelly, DMC or McClain. Yes, we may not get a second for any of them, but, there is alot of talent in this draft in the first 4 rounds. If we could deal these folks for some thirds, that would be great.

I think when you get a chance to get a game changer in an area that is a big need and you have an early pick, you should take them. Like Star, Hankins, Joeckel, Werner, Mingo and Teo.

Kinda wondering why some draft boards have guys like Fluker, Trufant, Simon, Minter, Skov and Kyle Long dropping to the second/third round? Scouts say they will be good NFL players. Not one scout says they wont.
But, they have alot of "reaches" that are projected as first rounders this year. kind of a strange year for the draft.

I'm thinking the 'edge rusher' gives the Raiders a chance to exhibit versatility, which is what Allen wanted. Mingo is athletic enough to run down Oregon RB's - I'm betting he could be asked to drop into coverage in a 3-4 alignment.

If I'm Reggie, I'm looking for an edge rusher in this draft. If not in the first round, you'll certainly need one somewhere on the board.
I would like to get him. But, not for a top 10 pick. We have worse needs than a DE.

Our DTs get no push up the middle.
Houston is our only d lineman that can remotely stop the run.
    We have NO MLB!
Our best DB is Adams. And nobody knows who that is.
RT is a swinging gate for anyone who wants to just go through.
LG is getting pushed back by the big boys up front and cant pull.

Every good team has a good LB. Check it out.

Stack picks and trade down unless you can get Star.

^^ yeah at the way things are going it loooks like the Raiders will pick Star if he's there (which they should). Otherwise...let's say they win a couple more games and drop to pick #4 or 5...I might trade down a few spots if you can but I wouldn't want to miss out on Damontre Moore.

Lol. If we want a player with a cool name we should take Bacarri Rambo. That safety from Georgia. Lol. Not saying we should actually take him but what a name.

You need really good players at all three levels.

    DL, LB, DB

I think the team could / should eventually switch over to a 34 defense, which is why an edge rusher can be a huge asset to the team this year.

I really hope we don't get start, he is not even close to haloti ngatas size, star is 2 inches shorter and 20 pounds lighter than haloti, star is also widely inconsistant, give me teo any day over star! Next year houston and bryant will be our d tackles, so we don't need star anyways, teo will lock down the mlb spot for the next 10 years, I see a little seau in him

I like the Idea of having a 3-4. I dont think we have the talent on the Dline or LB crew to even get started. Maybe Houston at DE and Wheeler. Thats alot of holes to fill.

Below is our past draft picks for the past seven years. As you can easily tell, the way we drafted the past seven years is why we are one of the worst teams in the league. However, I'm very interested to see how our 2012 draft picks do by the end of next year. I know we have a new GM and HC. It takes time to get a team where they want the team to be. I want to give them a chance until the end of 2015 and see how we are then. I believe they will make smart draft picks, especially with the earlier rounds.
