are the yankees ever gonna let go of these guys, and you know develope some more talent.

The Redsox are not going to be great this year or even good, but i much rather be in their position than the yanks with all of these old guys and longterm contracts.

Kuroda, Pettite, Mo, Jeter, Arod are getting really old
Jackie Bradley Junior.... that is all

WTF? Kuroda and Pettitte are still solid, and signing them to 1-year deals is amazing for New York.

Agreed, but next offseason the Yankees will have to figure out how to fill quite a few holes. They have the money to spend for sure, but will the FA class be able to fill there needs?

Rivera, Pettite and probably Kudora will be gone. A-Rod might be gone. Cano will be the next to get that monster deal and the Yankees need to give it to him.

One thing is for sure, the next few seasons there will most likely be some big changes in Yankee land. How that turns out to the product on field is anyone's guess.

It's a one year contract. There is literally nothing to complain about. It gives their pitching prospects more time to develop since none seem to be MLB ready at the moment.

what kind of numbers would people expect from Pettitte?
I think there is maybe 1% chance he repeats 2012 numbers.
he was great in 2012, good in 2011, but average/above average the 3 years in NY before that.

It won't have to be anything spectacular since he's the #3 starter. But Andy is very consistent as long as he stays healthy. That shouldn't be a problem considering the injury he had last season was a fluke.

It's only for 1 year and it doesn't affect the 189 tax at all. that and the Yankees really had no choice.
