4 draft picks in the first round sounds great.
Greineke anyone?
& aj peirzynski no martin
Greinke would have a mental breakdown in New York. He would be like the pitcher at the beginning of "the scout"

I go back and forth on Hughes. Fans here have very high expectations but if you step back, Hughes is really not bad at all. As Vazquez and others prove, not anyone can pitch in NY. For those looking for a new "core", consider:
Hughes: former all star, only 26, was pretty consistant at times, especially down the stretch.
Joba: have shown this year when he came back, that he still have stuff. Only 27 and i still think he can be the heir replacement to Mo.
Robertson: One of our best reliver in the pen, was pretty consistant, only 27 and was almost money when he came in the 7th and 8th.
Nova: only 25 years old, pitched i think 2 full seasons, just have the knack of winning (i even got the Nova thong from Leos gift shop) and under control for a couple of years.
Phelps: filled in very nicely this year. Loves to battle and really got a taste of pressure down the stretch. Only 26 years old.
I think thats not bad at all. You probably can lock them down for 5 to 7 mil annually on average. Or you can trade them, watch them do better for a NL team (see Ian Kennedy) and then trade you best prospect for another young unproven pitcher.....

Miss the Guacamole version. I will have to do the Andy Dufrane and write a letter weekly to bring it back.....

Spicy Nacho, Sweet Spicy Chili, Taco....love them all!
Definitely McCarthy, this guy seems really solid. Good ERA in the AL, and only 29. Hopefully his confidence is not affected by his line drive to the dome, but I love this option for a Yanks target.....
