Out of the free agents I would go in this order Dan Haren-Brandon McCarthy- Francisco Liriano-Joe Saunders.

If Kuroda leaves, and its apparent he will because the Yanks aren't offering ANYONE a multi year deal until 2015, we would have:

Yeah, I mean Joba is a good reliever but I don't get it either. But what were they doing w/ Joba when he came back from his injury, it kind of looked like they were trying to stretch him out... pitching him more than one inning at a time.

Joba should stay in the bullpen where he belongs. We need him there to be a bridge to Mariano, more than we need him as a starting pitcher. I would rather not see a repeat of the situation Boston faced with Daniel Bard in the rotation.

Money and or years is no issue for Kuroda....his homeland is calling, that is the issue....

I think the 13.3M qualifying offer does not include a no trade clause, which Kuroda wants. Cashman has said he thinks the biggest threat of losing Kuroda is from Kuroda wanting to go back to Japan, not to another team. 1 yr/15M with a no trade clause would probably seal the deal.

Word. Not sure what to believe. Some reports said he wants 2 yrs. yanks won't do.
