Who here was a fan of Evan Turner coming out of Ohio St? How good was he his first year and a half as the #2 pick?

I was a fan of Evan Turner because he can impact the game in multiple ways, and has shown throughout his first two years that he could do that...not sure what Williams has shown.

Btw, Williams "can't hit 3s" and yet he's 40% on the year.

and it isnt lack of consistency that has me down on Williams, it is that he hasnt really showed any skill...can't dribble, can't shoot, can't pass, has a much lower basketball IQ than was advertised when we drafted him, also, doesnt seem to be willing to accept fault for his short comings.

What are you talking about? He's said repeatedly that he was disappointed in himself over his rookie year. He cut weight, made some adjustments to his shot and worked on his D because the coaching staff told him too. He's working at it, but it's a process.

That is a very subjective argument. If you look at his stats, they are similar to Williams' through 2 years.

In defense of Williams in the comparison presented, "Call Me Rock God" was 45 years old when he came into the league. So far, all Willum has done is lose weight and get a big *** back tattoo.

Yeah, but we're talking about now and whether he has improved. Now, I'm sure you'll say it's a small sample size and that is my point - we haven't even played 10 games.

I don't like being too negative on a player of the team I cheer for, but Williams hasnt really shown me anything, other than he cant dribble, and he cant shoot, and that he makes poor decisions. His athleticism, and "potential" is what gives me some hope for him...but outside of athleticism, he hasnt shown me much else.

A non-shooting 2-guard isn't exactly a great argument. Williams is establishing his ability to play by working on his defense.

Williams need to figure his game out soon. I'm starting to loose hope for him. He was draft as a NBA ready player and this is how much NBA ready he is?
