Wow, surprised by everyone's positive reaction. I am only going off Keith law's ranking and write up, but he has him fitting best as a reliever opposed to aback of the rotation guy. At 25 mil plus whatever you pay him as a salary you are sneaking in on Greinke or Sanchez money. I think I would rather have buy a proven mld starter, heck the posting fee alone buys two years of Kuroda.

Being a Cubs fan, I was hoping we would get involved in the bidding. That being said, I watch some film on him, and he reminded me of a couple of guys. I thought is fastball and curve was similar to Sabathia. Especially the arm angle. His change looks a little like Johan's.

Could be a nice pick up, my friends in blue! His ceiling is a number 3 guy, and his floor is a bull pen guy. Should being interesting, and good luck...........

This could an interesting development. Looks like we are accomplishing a couple things. One being very competitive next year. 2 building the minors back up 3. Acquiring players ,in order to have trade bait. Maybe we are dropping a lot of money, but that is the only way to dig our way out of the mess we were in

The Dodgers are "aggressively pursuing" Torii Hunter according to a team executive. GM Ned Colletti wouldn't confirm the team's interest, but he did say that he did not have any trade talks about Andre Ethier during the GM Meetings this week.
The Dodgers will have meetings early next week to formulate a plan that involves signing Hunter and acquiring a frontline starter. They've already spoken to representatives for Zack Greinke and Anibal Sanchez, but are out on Ryan Dempster.
