Libs: why do yall love Elizabeth Warren so much?

MSNBC praises her everyday. I'm trying to understand the hype.

We can start with her setting up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Intelligent and ethical business mind at a time we need it most.

Supports renewable energy, women's health, healthcare in general, education.....basically panders into all the liberal hot button issues.

Can't say I "love" her, but I haven't had an issue with her and she seems to be on the right track.

Is there a reason you don't "love" her?

MSNBC is hyping her because she's a pretty good candidate for 'next big thing' for their team.

I don't know much about her, except when she lied about her ethnicity. MSNBC praises her like she's a savior of the lib movement.

I don't watch MSNBC so can't help ya. As far as the ethnicity thing, it's just a campaign attacking point from Brown. If we're gonna discredit politicians for something as minor as her ethnicity listed on a school directory, then we're gonna get nowhere fast.

Plenty of people do that anyway.

Hell, I have enough Native American in me to be able to register as one and get help with school, but if you saw me on the street the only thing you'd think is "that's the whitest guy I've ever seen."

Same here, Cherokee. Never took advantage of it, but I'm thinking of testing it out for tax purposes....can't hurt.

I just found out this summer that I could. And my grandma discovered some sort of savings account that her mom, obviously my great grandma who was fully Native American, had set up for her long ago. My grandma is like 85 now, so there's got to be a nice chunk of change. I won't be able to register until September for whatever reason, but if it'll help with school it's definitely worth the wait. I hadn't even thought about tax purposes.

I, as well, am enough Cherokee to count. I will admit that I take a dim view of what I view as gaming the system - really for anyone but especially for public servants. It makes me seriously question her integrity and moral fortitude if she really doesn't identify with being Native American.

Ironically, I consider myself just enough Native American to know that I'm not at all and so it's insulting to me that white people are capitalizing on what is (rightly) meant to wrong a serious social injustice committed on a vulnerable group of people.

It's entirely possible she has tribal affiliations, works with a certain tribe, or in some other way identifies as Native American other than to get college application boost. But considering she's a politician in the first place, my money is on the fact that she's just gaming the system.

I was thinking about this myself. At what point is it unethical to take advantage of the system, when you actually qualify? Essentially when it's totally within the rules to do so, is there any sort of ethical obligation. I know for myself I generally take every advantage I can, but I generally feel bad about it.

It's always used in a condescending tone for some reason....never understood it. And why hasn't "Cons" caught on yet? Because of the pun?
