Gato--just got a job offer in NYC/NJ I'm currently debating and I'm wondering where the most cost-efficient spots are in the area (and what I should realistically be looking at for single bed/single bath rent). Position is in Englewood Cliffs. P.S. **** the cost of living up there, it sucks.

Englewood Cliffs, Bergen County in general, is out of this world expensive even relative to the COL in NJ as a whole. I am not a real estate agent at all, nor am I responsible advice guy, but one suggestion would be renting in central Jersey (Newark/JC/Hoboken are only 30-45 minutes away if you do it right) and learning to enjoy a commute.
