The AFC sucks. Pittsburgh's down, the Ravens D is down, the Pats are still just Brady and Wilfork. It's really not out of the realm of possibility...Flacco is maaaaaaaybe a slightly above average QB but the Ravens are 7-2 with him despite their worst defense in years.

Houston's the only standout in the conference, after that it's a pretty crummy field. Sanchez just drags so many numbers down. Time of possession, offensive and defensive field position, points scored, points allowed (the Pick 6 Kiiiieed), turnover ratio...He's the worst.

Yes Sanchez blows. But when you look at the "weapons" he has around him, scarce is a generous way of describing it. The D is a shell of what it used to be, offensive line has gradually diminished from its dominant stature years ago. They just arent that good in general. And Sanchez is part of that.

You don't need every unit to be dominant if you have a good QB, and the Jets' individual players would be perceived in a much more generous light with a competent QB distributing the ball around. Good QBs produce despite non-ideal offensive lines or brand name skill position players. The QB position, plain and simple, is and has been the difference maker in today's game and allows teams to do things that otherwise they can not do.

Even the D, while I agree is down a little bit, is crushed by how often they are on the field due to Sanchez's offensive offense.
