    GIFs as Signatures

I notice that everytime I come across a signature that is a GIF my screen just slows way down and even sometimes stops fuctioning for seconds at a time. Is this a common problem or is it because I'm a dinosaur and still use IE?

It's pretty annoying and would love to not have this issue.

Have you tried another browser to see if they run fine? Just wondering if it's an IE issue or maybe something regarding other necessary upgrades (Flash, video card, etc.)

Do you experience the same issue when using others sites, or is it just a PSD issue?

Turning off signatures is definitely a temporary solution until you get the computer issues figured out.

It's definitely going to be a computer/browser issue because PSD's web page loads images the same way every other site does.

Safari used to be terrible at loading gifs so I turned sigs off until they updated it.

Updating Flash won't do anything. Gif's aren't Flash objects, they're images.

This is definitely a situation to gather browser info and what OS they are running.

Its a damn shame that people still use IE. IE should be used for nothing but downloading a real internet browser.

I had to turn off sigs for that reason. But I do not miss them.

I shut off sigs because when I click on the icon by the thread title to go to the first unread post and people have sigs that get sized down (the yellow bar on top), it doesn't go to the first unread post because of the oversized sigs.
