The way I see it is he's had ZERO success in the majors, so it's not like he's bringing a ton of solid experience. An inexperienced guy like Dave Martinez is probably better.

Haha please, who ever said a manager has to be "book" smart? It's all about leadership and people skills, getting the most out of your players. In-game tactics don't do a whole lot. Granted, we don't want a dumb-as-a-rock manager, but the key is having a good leader first-and-foremost. I'm not sure exactly what went down in Cleveland, but their closer Chris Perez called out Acta saying that he was "too passive". It's not exactly the "manager with an edge" vibe that AA and Jays fans are looking for after the Farrell debacle.

I would love Dave Martinez or Ken Macha to be the next manager.

If Dave Martinez or Tony Pena meet AA's qualifications I like them both. Whoever it is I would like someone who will be here long term and not use us as a stepping stone.

I still want Brad Ausmus. But it seems his name has been burried since Farrell took the Red Sox job.

@Enrique_Rojas1 #BlueJays ahora enfocado en escoger un nuevo manager. Toronto no ofreció el cargo a Manny Acta.

Makes sense. I'm not sure how accurate any of those reports about them being close to naming a manager are.

Seeming the jar ream out Lawrie after a stupid base-running mistake would be priceless though.
