    Arggghhh!!

Okay, instead of signing Kevin Youkilis for 1B/DH, I guess we trade Lind + #20 spec for Morneau and $7M.

    Lineup:

    Victorino (S)
    Lawrie (R)
    Bautista (R)
    EE (R)
    Morneau (L)
    Soriano (R)
    Escobar (R)
    Izturis (S)
    D'Arnaud (R)

For the first question neither is worth it but really who is however the length is what baffled me the most on both.

Yes times are a changing but seriously the the dollars are one thing but the length of the contracts are what are really out of wack.

However I want to cheer for a winner to and it's not my money so I hope the Jays go nuts to and spend I guess. However it's a sad league when you can eliminate ten teams for the crown before the season starts. Yes some will say the Rays have a low payroll but they sucked for years stock piled top picks and got lucky as well.

Would love Torii to if we first signed or traded for 2 SP's. However we really need a lefty bat.

OSEN is reporting that a still unknown MLB team bid $25,737,737.33 for Ryu Hyun-jin and the Hanwha Eagles have accepted.

i know no where it says the Jays bid..But AA has a increased payroll to work with.. i know that 25 mil is alot, but a Korean version of darvish? Intersted?

i pass. $25M+ is too much for a guy thats ranked 37th best free agent in the market.

Indeed. Unless that $25 million is a "gift" from Rogers heart, that money can absolutely be used elsewhere.

I think there's almost no chance the Jays won the bidding though... I'd be shocked.... completely shocked.

Well of course the Dodgers won it, expect anything different. "They are who we thought they were! We let them off the hook!"

Rajai Davis: Jays expected to fill left fielder in-house

 And you are entertaining the idea that we won the bid for a korean pitcher?

I think the cubs won Ryu Hyun-jin bid only because of the bid number. $25,737,737.33 is an odd number, something Theo Epstein would bid. similar to the $51,111,111.11 he bid for Daisuke Matsuzaka.

"We’ve talked about a few things, we’ve looked at a few things, it’s a bit more of a wait-and-see approach with left field right now and being a little more aggressive in terms of the rotation," said Anthopoulos. "With LF and some of the options, it’s more of a sit back and maybe let it come to us a little more."
Not sure how that=Rajai will be the starter.

Well that settles it. I guess we're gonna spend the money on pitching and see how much we have left. Davis is awful though. I'm hoping we end up signing/trading for a $5M LF at the end of free agency, maybe Carlos Lee or Aubrey Huff. Still a bad move imo.

    EDIT:
