Tobad we did not try to acquire Hanson. I really liked him
Do u know anything about the prospect the braves received?
Oh. Wow. Strange, never heard of him
Yes his velocity has been a concern, but hes been pretty injury prone the past few years (that might help explain the drop in velocity). We will find out in the near future if he can get back to his old velocity. I like both Walden and Hanson, but this trade was possible because of the Braves starting pitching depth. However, i believe the Angels won this trade because the value of a middle to front of the rotation starter (when hes healthy), is a lot more valuable than a good relief pitcher. I'd trade Walden for Hanson any day of the week

Wow, read on the score the Royals originally offered Dempster 2/26 but pulled out because the price for him got really high. The ****?? Thats insane, thank god we weren't aiming for a pitcher in FA.
Signing Laroche basically should solidify our hitting for the offseason and allow us to solely focus on SP.

Im not big on LaRoche. I'd rather trade for a first basemen than give someone who i believe had a career year a 3 year, 30 million+ deal who is already 33. That money can be allocated somewhere else. I'd rather sign a guy like Napoli
wow Braves obviously know something here.. now way they trade a young pitcher in Hanson who other than last year, has been a great pitcher in his young career..
I have a feeling the Angels aren't gonna see much of him
props to vick27m

If the Jays had just traded for Hanson, I would be excited, but I certainly wouldn't be jumping up and down like I was after the Marlins trade. Dropping 2mph on your fastball in one year has to be concerning.
