The Red Sox are expected to non-tender OF Ryan Sweeney.

Sweeney batted .260/.303/.373 with a .675 OPS in 63 games this past season prior to undergoing surgery to repair a broken pinkie finger. While the Red Sox weren't willing to bring him back for close the $1.75 million salary he made in 2012, he should draw interest from multiple teams in free agency.

The Red Sox will not tender a contract to LHP Rich Hill.
The 32-year-old lefty pitched fairly well, posting a 1.83 ERA and 21/11 K/BB ratio over 19 2/3 innings for the Red Sox in 2012. He'll likely catch on as a left-handed specialist with another organization.

According to Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle, Brian Wilson has "zero interest" in re-signing with the Giants.

The Giants non-tendered Wilson, but haven't ruled out bringing back him on an incentive-laden deal. However, multiple sources tell Schulman that the 30-year-old right-hander is upset with the organization's decision to release him and has told people he will sign elsewhere. Wilson is expected to be fully recovered from Tommy John surgery in time for the 2013 season. He figures to land a deal similar to Ryan Madson‘s one-year, $3.5 million contract in free agency.

Can you imagine The Beard on the Red Sox? Apparently the flamboyant closer can. Brian Wilson is interested in joining the Red Sox, Dodgers and Angels, and he’s still interested in re-joining his teammates in San Francisco, according to Jim Bowden of ESPN. All four locations make sense for Wilson. He grew up in New Hampshire and is a huge Boston sports fan, and he lives in Los Angeles now. There are conflicting reports about the Giants, though. Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle said Wilson has no interest in rejoining the Giants after getting non-tendered. Wilson had Tommy John surgery in April and is expected to be ready by the start of the 2013 season. It was Wilson’s second Tommy John surgery of his career. The Red Sox don’t have a giant need in their bullpen, but Wilson could be a low-risk option with an incentive-laden contract.

the dodgers are not expected pursue closer brian wilson, reports dylan hernandez of the los angeles times. Wilson was non-tendered by the giants on friday.

Wilson, who lives in los angeles, has expressed interest in playing for the dodgers, angels, and red sox. Wilson pitched in only two games last season, as he underwent his second tommy john surgery in april. Hernandez belives wilson could sign an incentive-laden deal similar to the one ryan madson signed with the angels.

The back end of the dodgers' bullpen appears set with the recently-signed brandon league plus kenley jansen and ronald belisario under team control. Hernandez reports the dodgers have talked to the pirates about joel hanrahan, but a trade appears unlikely, according to a person familiar with the situation.

According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Rays have agreed to terms with first baseman James Loney.

Terms of the agreement are not yet available. Loney batted just .249/.293/.336 with six home runs and 41 RBI in 144 games this past season between Los Angeles and Boston. But he's only 28 years old and may have some good years ahead. He's expected to start at first base for Tampa Bay.

Asdrubal Cabrera reportedly has a six-team no-trade clause in his contract.

According to Jon Morosi of FOXSports.com, the teams include the Yankees, Red Sox, Tigers, Nationals, Giants, and Mets. Only the Red Sox have been listed as a possible landing spot for Cabrera, and it's not guaranteed the Indians will shop him this offseason. He's signed for $16.5 million through 2014.

Mike Napoli likely would do well at Fenway Park with his righthanded power (though his glove at first base would be another story), but the Rangers don’t want to give him more than two years and they’ve had him on their team.

The Royals, from all appearances, might be willing to part with Myers (or Hosmer) to obtain Shields or Lester.

10:18am: The deal is worth $39MM over three years, reports Jon Heyman of CBS Sports (via Twitter).

10:10am: The Red Sox have reached an agreement on a three-year contract with Mike Napoli, according to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe (via Twitter). WEEI.com's Rob Bradford was the first to report that the two sides were closing in on a deal.

Financial details of the deal aren't known yet, but Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe tweets that Boston likely paid a larger annual salary to get a three-year contract done, rather than going to four years for Napoli.

Napoli had a down year by his standards for the Rangers in 2012, hitting .227/.343/.469. However, he has a career .863 OPS, and is one season removed from a .320/.414/.631 line. While Boston likely doesn't expect him to produce at that level again, the team will make him its primary first base option, according to Bradford. Cafardo tweets that the 31-year-old will also catch occasionally for the Sox.

#redsox talking to swisher now. A possibility.

Also, you don't need to post official deals in here, we already have a thread for the Napoli signing, and will for every signing.

Giancarlo Stanton remains unhappy with the direction of the Marlins, agent Joel Wolfe tells Jon Heyman of CBS Sports (Twitter link). "It wasn't a reaction," Wolfe said, referring to Stanton's post-trade tweet last month. "It's a state of mind." Wolfe declined comment when asked if Stanton has requested a trade, according to Heyman (Twitter link).

The Red Sox are kicking the tire on free-agent starters but have interest in Gavin Floyd. They are looking to move Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who would be a good piece for the White Sox as a platoon partner for Tyler Flowers. The White Sox would save some money, which would help them fill their needs at third base. Eric Chavez is an interesting name on the free-agent market there. He could share the position with Brent Morel, who gets at least half a mulligan to prove that he can hit in the big leagues. Definitely something to watch.

Purely in terms of fit, Boston is emerging as a possible source of help for the White Sox. http://sulia.com/my_thoughts/608e440...source=twitter

#RedSox like Masterson; offers thus far not to #Indians’ liking.
