    Comp System Vote

Keeping it simple for now, just vote yes or no as to whether or not you would like to see a compensation system set up. If it is voted in, then we will begin the process to discuss what system works best and possibly vote on a few different options, implementing the top choice.

    Abstaining.

Not convinced it fixes the most important problems, but if most people think it does or want it anyway, then I am fine with having them.

I'll vote yes but I can't imagine a system that would convince me to let anyone of value leave the team via FA.

I still prefer something based on TKO's system as opposed to anything involving the draft, but more of a scaled down version of it. A cap on ratings and such...enough to allow some leverage when trading a pending FA or superstar and give a team losing a player something in return, but nothing that results in the cloning of guys like Alex Atkins. Plus, I'd probably like to write in a rule preventing trades that involve giving over your superstar to someone as a rental in return for getting their comp. If you trade the guy, he's gone and so are your rights to his compensation.

Personally, in TKO I tend to try to resign my guys unless I think they may decline or their demands are just too much for me to feel justified in paying them what they want (which happens here as well, but to a lesser extent due to the historical aspect making financial numbers pretty different for the time being).

Yeah, this is a hell of a lot more one sided and clear than our previous votes from several seasons ago.
