Tillman could miss Texans game if baby comes

    Tribune report

    10:49 AM CST, November 7, 2012

Could the Chicago Bears handle the Houston Texans' high-powered offense without cornerback and renowned ball-punch specialist Charles Tillman. They may find out Sunday.

Tillman, whose wife Jackie is pregnant with the couple's fourth child, told WSCR-AM 670 on Wednesday that the baby is expected to arrive by Monday and could require him to be at the hospital on game day.

The wife is due any day, so hopefully this baby can stay in until after the game on Sunday, he said. I hope she stays in -- Im having another girl. Monday, for sure, but if she comes Sunday, I think Im going to have to be at the hospital Sunday. So, I hope she stays in until after Sunday.

screw the kid, we need Tillman!

Houston has turned the ball over only 6 times this year....We need our turnover machine to change this.

Can't argue with him for wanting to be there. Its a major step for his family and he wants to be there for it.

Yeah I better not see anybody badmouth Trillman if he chooses to be at the hospital. It will truly suck to throw Hayden out there and possibly Bowman in some situations, but we gotta get over it, if he makes that decision.

It would suck, but you can't fault him for that.

I'm sure there will be some idiots that go that route (maybe not here, but Bears fans in general) and it's unfortunate.

Family comes first and I'm still confident we can win without him if it comes to that.

I'd like to listen to the clip of him actually saying that since he could have been joking. Plus its a night game so if she does give birth hopefully he can still make it.

Family comes first no matter what. This is a special time for them considering the situations the Tillman's have run in with their first child.

I won't be upset the least bit if he doesn't play on Sunday..but how about they induce his wife in the next couple days so she can have the baby sooner!

His 4th kid already? Kudos to Peanut, I hope to have a family that big one day.

His presences would be greatly missed though. We don't really have another big corner to even match size with Johnson.

    Mmmmm ... McBuckets
