    Should Boston Retire Ainge's Number?

Perhaps this belongs in the Boston forum, but I was wondering what fans in general thought. I know the Celtics already have a TON of number retired, but I remember after Aige had pulled off hte Garnett and Allen trades he said Boston ownership would retire his jersey number if he brought them another championship as an exective. It's been a few years now, and Ainge's number is still not retired as far as I know, so I was wondering; Should Boston retire Ainge's number, not so much for what he did as a player, but for what he's also done as an executive?

You don't retire a player's number for his executive services. Another thread for the Classics NBA Forum.

No, it'll set a bad precedent
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Mitch got Pau and Dwight, and got Nash via using that Lamar Odom TPE when he and Jim Buss were being criticized.

But you know who the GOAT GM is?

The guy who taught both Riles and Kupchak, and that's the Logo, Mr. Jerry West.

they have way too many retired numbers already.also to note, execs dont need a number to be "retired" just a banner saying they're name.which if its for what he he has done for exec than why bring up his number being retired?
