Cashman will let Cano walk when the Dodgers hand him a blank cheque while on the free agent market. Then the Steinbrenner's will step in and over rule Brian's decision by handing Borass and Robby there own blank cheque. If Cano's feelings are hurt from Cashman's original decision, he'll be a Dodger... and if he simply want's to stay in pinstripes he'll resign in NY, with Cashman throwing his hands in the air after his boss just handcuffed him when it comes to staying at or around the luxury tax threshold.

No more then 5 years for these guys. Sorry if you contuine to hit this way for the terms of your contract we will give you a well deserved one. How much we pay you I have no problem with, I willhave a problem with more then a 5 year contract. We give him 8-10 I will be pissed but I would be shocked if we do.

cano is great, but 10 years and 200 mil is beyond absurd. long term deals like that ar ebad ideas. dont fall for it again yankees. just look at arod to see why its a terrible idea
