    Kubel vs Parra

I know the DBacks didn't repeat for multiple reasons, but when Parra was their everyday LF, they won the division. When Kubel was, they were 3rd.

Defense is critical. The # of runs Blanco saved this season is as critical as the # of runs he scored and drove in.

I'm not saying Kubel isn't a good player that can play for a winner, but our Pitching and Defense should not be sacrificed unless we get a dynamic hitter that can defend.

For all of Pagan and Pence's faults, they both play above average defense.

Pagan did not play above average defense. He got better as the season progressed, but was nothing more than average. But agree with the parts above that statement.

Agreed on Blanco. I wouldn't be opposed to him being the everyday CF if the right guy is signed in LF, like Swisher.

I wouldn't call Pagan above average in CF. if he's resigned and Blanco needs to be a starter, Pagan should move to LF. He'd be above average there.

Pagan was second to Bourn in RTZ, that's not exactly average.

Pagan had some really rough patches in the field. He took many horrendous routes to balls.

He was bad for a good chunk of time. It looked like he played better in the second half though. Although I'm not familiar with RTZ so I can't agree or disagree with your statement.

he saved 17 more runs than an average CF, keep in mind It does take a second to adjust to AT&T.

He took the same type of poor routes in NY. At least, that's what Mets fans were telling us after the trade. He's athletic enough to play in a big CF, but doesn't appear to have the defensive IQ.

    Gregor Blanco>Jason Bay

Blanco can play better defense at ALL 3 OF spots. Jason Bay can only play LF and doesn't have the range.

Blanco has been healthy all season. Bay gets injured diving for a ball.

Blanco can get a SB. Bay can't even get on base.

In the last 4 years Jason Bay's AVG. has been dipping from .267 all the way to .165

I remember at the beginning of the year, Pagan's OF play was a bit of an adventure at times. But he came around and over the course of the season played quite well. And made some outstanding plays along the way.

Same with Crawford, who had lots of errors early on, but averaged out over the season he played well.
